Check out the 44th annual Gravenstein Apple Fair August 12 and 13, 2017 in Sebastopol’s Ragle Ranch Park. This year’s fair theme is “In Praise of the Pollinators,” and reflects the recent listing of bumblebees as an endangered species for the first time. Learn from local experts about the importance of bees and other pollinators to our food supply, and what you can do in your own yard to help them survive.
There will be activities for children like the Hay Maze, animals, and family-friendly music performances, as well as a selection of local cider, wine, and microbrews for the adults. The Artisan Tasting Lounge will be available for sampling local artisan cheeses, olives, olive oil, charcuterie, wine, and craft ciders. Tickets to the Artisan Tasting Lounge are $20 (in addition to fair entry).
The Gravenstein Apple Fair is Sonoma County Farm Trails’ primary annual fundraiser. All proceeds fund efforts to support sustainable agriculture in Sonoma County.
