Mulled Wine

Ingredients
  • 2 bottles dry red wine
  • 2 cinnamon sicks, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 star anise, plus extra for garnish
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 1 blood orange (or naval orange), sliced thinly
  • 1 lemon, sliced thinly
  • ⅓ cup honey (or sugar)
  • ⅓ cup Cassis
Instructions
  1. Add all of the items to the slow cooker.
  2. Simmer on low for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to combine. Keep warm as long as necessary.
  3. Serve and garnish with a cinnamon stick and star anise.
