Beat the heat in style with one of our favorite Italian cocktails, the Aperol Spritz. We discovered this simple, refreshing, and crowd-pleasing cocktail on the Amalfi Coast when we first visited Casa Angelina, and it’s become our go-to party drink and cocktail hour favorite. It’s easy to have everything on hand for when friends drop by.
We suggest pairing the Aperol Spritz with snacks like prosciutto and melon, potato chips, nuts, or olives. Look for chips made with olive oil–they are amazing. We’ve recently started to see them pop up in stores in the United States.
If you’d like to make them for a party, try this method.. Prepare all of your glasses by adding the Aperol, club soda, and orange slices. Then when your guests arrive just add ice and top it with chilled prosecco. This allows you to spend more time with their guests, not play bartender.
- Ice
- Slice of orange
- 3 parts prosecco, or other dry sparkling white wine
- 2 part Aperol
- 1 splash club soda
- Pour everything into a glass over ice.
- Stir to combine, garnish with an orange slice.

Thanks! We can’t wait to go back!
