Spring 2017 Cookbooks You’ll Want

The Taste SF reads through Sicily: Recipes from an Italian island cookbook by Katie Caldesi, Giancarlo Caldesi

I’ve always loved flipping through cookbooks. Before Amazon (when there were tons of bookstores), a favorite pastime of mine was going into the cookbook section of the bookstore and trying to decide on just one. On a walk home from lunch, I noticed this Sicilian book in the window of a bookstore (above). I knew I had to have it. The photography is beautiful and I can’t wait to make a Sicilian specialty out of it.

That got me on a roll, so I started browsing online for other cookbooks and started seeing several that are coming out soon that you can pre-order.  There are a lot of them coming out this Spring! I’m super excited to try my friend Kate’s new Burma Superstar cookbook coming out alter this month.

In the mood for some inspiration? Here’s a list of cookbooks I’m excited about:

Sicily: Recipes from an Italian Island

Burma Superstar: Addictive Recipes from the Crossroads of Southeast Asia

Acquacotta: Recipes and Stories from Tuscany’s Secret Silver Coast

Tartine All Day

Salt Fat Acid Heat: Mastering the Elements of Good Cooking

In My Kitchen: A Collection of New and Favorite Vegetarian Recipes
